Friends are necessary to our child's development. As early as childhood, a friend is needed for socialization. It is hard to maintain friendship. It is even harder for the children who are still on the stage wherein they need friends their age. This is when the imaginary friends' stage came when they are not able to find a friend their age.If your family is moving a lot, just like Lek in this story, it is hard to find a friend. This is a moving story of friendship and will show that friends come in different forms. I have enjoyed reading this book and will certainly recommend to my friends. Both children and adults can relate to the story and will find this enjoyable. An important life lesson can be acquired from this book. A good bedtime story each family must have. Certainly worth buying the Kindle format. It still has the feel of the book.

I really loved this book. It is about a boy moving and being sad about missing his friends, but it also about looking on the positive side of a situation and being happy for what you have. It's a great fun read. The illustrations are fantastic. I give it two thumbs up.

It is an engaging tale that is bound to grasp the imagination of any young reader through a well written plot and unique illustrations. Children tend to love the aspect of an animal friend, and this story brings that fantasy to life. This is a book of adventure, friendship, and kindness guaranteed to have your child asking for more adventures of Lek and his very big friends. Well written, Michael Yu.
for a children's book I found this to be WAY to wordy, it bored my preschooler and I didn't even enjoy reading it to him. Not impressed and I even pulled it off my kindle. Even free I don't think it was worth it
This story was adorable. The illustrations were gorgeous and the overall message was great. I think it will resound with a lot of children, especially ones who are forced to move around with their parents. It's hard making friends and it can be even harder to lose them. This story sends a great message that although you're not with your friends, you will always have them in your heart.
I liked the premise of this story, which was about a boy from Thailand who has to leave his homeland. The story could have been better though, perhaps if it were shorter and had an element of surprise or suspense. Basically, the point of this tale was to encourage children to be thankful for friendships, even if they have to leave a person or an animal friend behind. So it would be best for young kids who are dealing with issues related to moving and making new friends.
Picked up this book rather on a lark for my seven year old, mainly because I liked the cover. It is a good little story about change and making friends. My son really loved the story of friendship and I thought the illustrations were really engaging as well.
Good story for your youngsters, especially if you have a big move coming.

I enjoyed this book so much I had to read it again. I believe this is a great book to share with kids about friendship, moving, or leaving a friend or loved one behind...especially if they are young readers. I recommend this book to PAT parents as teachers, children's book clubs, adults or older kids who read to younger kids, people who love reading about kids, animals-zoo' s and wild life, and even anime'-cartoon lovers. Such a cute story. I believe that everyone deserves a friend.
