I have to say this may be my favorite Sullivan story and I've read them all twice. Mia and Ford have amazingly sizzling chemistry. For those reading the few negative reviews, remember this is fun, light romance,not Classic Literature. I think for the genre, Ms. Andre really creates a fantastical escape for fans of this type or writing. ALSO, I really loved how Ms. Andre wove more conversation into this story and less "mental analyzing" from her characters. I always think conversation between characters is so much better than hearing their thoughts and analyzing everyone's feelings internally. Great move in the writing direction.

My only NEGATIVE comment at all would be that I wish she would drop the religious profanity. For me, it's offensive and aside from that, it just seems out of place in these characters lives. It's like you are reading a great story and these little bombs are scattered here and there that really don't add anything to the story or seem to match the people saying them. I hope she reads these reviews as I really am a fan of her writing. In a stressful world, it's great to have books like these to escape into for a couple of hours.
Book eleven in the Sullivan series by Bella Andre is all about the one that got away. It Must Be Your Love, is a second chance love story that will have fans of series swooning. The name Bella Andre is synonymous with light, erotic romance that tickles the fancy and melts the heart. The Sullivan series has taken some twists and turns but is at it's heart a romantic series with an emphasis on family and the pursuit of love. This book has everything from rockstars to businesswomen in it and a whole lot of Sullivan humor and spunk!

Bella Andre is an author I have been wanting to try for awhile. Something about the blurb for this book got my attention and drew me in. I'm not always a fan of the rockstar meets girl next door storyline, but this particular one was worth the read. I have a hard time believing this is possible in the real world, but in It Must Be Your Love, the beginning of Mia and Ford's romance began when they were young and before he quite so famous. I think that's what makes it work in this one. Why I jumped in at book eleven is still a mystery to me, but it didn't hinder my enthusiasm for this story.

I liked the fact that Ford realizes he made a mistake when he let Mia go and he's willing to do whatever it takes to get her back. It took him five years to figure it out but now that he knows she is what he wants he goes for it. Mia is a strong woman and he has his work cut out of him, but he proved to be up to the challenge and was a great hero. For a rockstar he was very down to earth, if a bit arrogant at times.

Mia was a good heroine, independent and strong. She wasn't afraid to own her mistakes and she didn't back down from her own desires and needs. I liked the fact that she made Ford work for it. He had something to prove to her and it made a great story. I didn't expect them to fall back in love in a few days time, but the sparks were certainly flying the minute they came back in contact with each other. It was a very good second chance story.

I am not a fan of the overuse of profane language in romance novels. I'm all for a little dirty talk here and there, especially in the bedroom and the occasional situation that requires more than a 'gosh darn' to get your point across, but for me there was a bit too much unnecessary profanity and religious wording that I didn't like, in this one. It took away from the story in my view, but I still liked the book.

Bottom Line

The writing was solid. I didn't feel at all lost since this was the eleventh book in the series and my first from this author. I had an issue with the language, but that's not unusual for me. Pet peeve, I suppose. Andre made me like the rockstar romance with a normal person, she even made me believe it was possible. I liked all of the Sullivan's that I met in this book and I want to meet some more. If you can past the one issue I had with it... it's a keeper!
